Delay in Pilot Bay boardwalk construction

Construction of the Pilot Bay boardwalk has been delayed.

The plan was to start work next week on the concrete section at the new Prince Ave pedestrian crossing point but new stormwater improvements require contractors to dig deeper and Historic Places Trust approval is being sought.

Timber for the boardwalk will be delivered in about three weeks and work will begin on the section between Salisbury Wharf and Prince Ave.

Stormwater work will begin at Prince Ave as soon as approval is granted.
