More than $20,000 has been raised in 10 days for Tauranga woman Amanda Lowry, who broke her neck in a surfing accident on March 7.
Ms Lowry was diagnosed with quadriplegia.
Ms Lowry, partner Gemma Holroyd and toddler daughter Lola welcomed baby girl Ziggy into their family a week before the accident.
Friends and family announced the money raised surpassed the goal of $20,000, reaching $20,761 by 8.30pm yesterday.
The money is for the family's basic needs during Ms Lowry's recovery, estimated to take up to six months.
