New venue for book bonanza

Tens of thousands of books, puzzles, vinyl records, magazines, special collectibles and more will be up for grabs at the 26th Tauranga Rotary Club Easter Book Sale this year.

Instead of being held at the Seeka coolstore on Totara St, this year's book sale will be held at the old Foodtown building, opposite Tauranga Boys' College.

Event organiser Ann Pritchard said the book sale was one of the biggest in the country and it had taken about six weeks for volunteers to organise the 60,000 items ahead of the three-day event.

Funds raised will be given back to the community, she said.
