A school caretaker was punched in the face when he confronted a man who was using the school swimming pool without permission.
Acting Senior Sergeant Steve Hindmarsh said the caretaker at St Mary's School on Thirteenth Ave was assaulted by a person using the school pool about 3pm on Thursday.
"He didn't require hospitalisation but it was a decent punch," he said.
The man, who was unknown to the caretaker, then left the grounds in a car.

Mr Hindmarsh said no arrests had yet been made but police were following lines of enquiry.
"It's a bit of a problem about the place people using the pool without a key."
