Sentencing for a Tauranga woman who attempted to hold up a Mount Maunganui superette with a knife in March has been adjourned until next week.
Cheyanne McCausland, 22, who earlier pleaded guilty to a charge of assault with intent to rob with an offensive weapon, was due to be sentenced in Tauranga District Court this morning.
But for medical reasons the sentencing will now take place next Friday, November 30.
The charge McCausland has admitted relates to her entering the Arataki Superette around 3pm on March 31, approaching the female shop assistant and brandishing a knife.
When the shop assistant activated the store panic alarm, McCausland ran off, but later handed herself in at Papamoa Police Station.
