Man treated after second Te Puke crash

Police removed an elderly man from his car after a two car crash in Te Puke.


A reporter at thesite of the crash said the man was treated by ambulance staff at the scene.


The accident took place at the intersection of Queen St and Beatty Ave about 11.10am.


One driver has failed to give way at a controlled intersection.


Initial reports were off a person trapped inside the vehicle.


Both cars were towed from the scene,

Emergency services are rushing to the scene of a car crash in Te Puke where one person is trapped.


Western Bay of Plenty road policing manager Senior Sergeant Ian Campion said one person was trapped in the vehicle.


The accident took plpace at the intersection of Queen St and Beatty Ave about 11.10am.


This follows an earlier serious crash where the driver of a car was trapped for about 40 minutes after a crash on State Highway 2 near Te Puke Quarry Rd. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
