Motorists travelling along State Highway 2, Hewletts Rd and State Highway 2A near Turret Rd should expect minor delays at night over the next couple of weeks.
Resurfacing work will be undertaken bewteen 7pm and 6am beginning on Sunday.
Acting Bay of Plenty state highways manager Nigel D'Ath said work will start along Hewletts Rd from west of Maru St to the Hewletts Rd overbridge.
Speed restrictions will be in place. The first section is expected to finish on November 13.
On November 18 resurfacing works will take place from Aerodrome Rd to the end of the Hewletts Rd overbridge.
Detours will be diverting traffic beneath the overbridge along Maunganui Rd and Hewletts Rd. This work is expected to finish on November 22.
Resurfacing work will start south of the Hairini Bridge to the Maungatapu Roundabout (towards Maungatapu only) on November 13. A single lane will be open during the work with speed restrictions in place.
It is expected to be completed by November 15.
Traffic will revert back to normal operation during the day.
Drivers should adhere to the posted speed restrictions when travelling through the work sites for the safety of workers, Mr D'Ath said.
"We apologise to motorists for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience during these works."
The work is weather dependant and if it is wet this closure will be moved to the next available fine day.
