Armed police arrested a Tauranga man last night after they were called to a domestic incident.
Members of the Tauranga armed offenders squad attended just after 10pm after police were made aware that there were firearms at the Oropi address.
Tauranga senior sergeant Rob Glencross said the firearms were secured without incident and a 41-year-old Tauranga man was taken into custody.
No charges had been laid and the man was issued with a police safety order.
