Motorcross rider injured

A Tauranga motorcross rider was flown to Tauranga Hospital after he crashed while training for an upcoming event.
The 26-year-old suffered a head injury and fractured jaw after crashing while going over a double jump about midday at a rural property south of the city.
The Trustpower TECT rescue helicopter flew the man to hospital in a moderate condition.
