The NBA lost another legend yesterday when Kevin Garnett announced his retirement after 21 seasons.
He joins Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan in the elite class leaving the league with a legacy that will last for decades.
But Garnett will long be regarded as one of the toughest in history, scoring over 26,000 points, 14,662 rebounds and 5,445 assists, and winning a championship with the Boston Celtics in 2008.
Now, he'll finish his career as the highest earning athlete in league history.
Here's five stats that show just how unbelievable his career was.
5) 9
Garnett is the only NBA player to average at least 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists per game for 9 consecutive seasons.
4) 7,759
That's how many days Garnett spent in the NBA.
To compare, it was 6,979 days before he was drafted, meaning he's spent more time in the NBA, than he has outside it.
3) 1995
Garnett made his NBA debut in 1995. Not only is that a long time ago, but it's also a year before 2016 first round draft pick, Ben Simmons, was born.
2) 50,000
This number is important for two reasons.
First, Garnett amassed over 50,000 minutes. The third most in history.
Second, he is only the fourth player in history, behind Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone and Wilt Chamberlain, to amass over 50,000 combined stats: 26,071 points, 14,662 rebounds, 5,445 assists, 2,037 blocks and 1,859 steals.
1) $450,435,161
That's the record-setting amount Garnett earned throughout his 21 seasons.
Breaking that down, that's $308,094 per game played.
$30,721 per rebound.
$17,277 per point scored.
$8,934 per minute.
