Cedric Jackson may not be completely lost to the Breakers.
Jackson's departing the NBL franchise and is thought to be going to another NBL team.
However Breakers General Manager Dillon Boucher says the prospect of Jackson's singlet being retired is still an option.
Boucher says the criteria of retiring a singlet is "can you tell the Breakers history without mentioning the player" which Jackson fits the mould of.
Boucher says they expect both Jackson and departing forward Tai Wesley to be snapped up quickly.
Meanwhile the departure of Jackson is likely to see the Breakers scour far and wide for a replacement.
Corey Webster and Shea Ili are the only possible point guards currently signed to the roster.
However Coach Paul Henare says despite the existing options, with two import spots remaining, they'll be aiming to fill one of those with a guard which they've always targeted.
