Man turns up at police station with gunshot wound

Police are investigating a firearms incident after a man turned up at Papakura Police Station with a gunshot wound.

The 30-year-old male arrived at the station at around 3.45pm yesterday afternoon.

He was taken to Middlemore Hospital with a serious leg injury.

Police cordoned off an address in Papakura in connection with the incident.
