One of the teenagers accused of murdering a man at a motel in Epsom has gone on the run from police.
17-year-old Beauen Wallace-Loretz, who is accused of murdering 54-year-old Ihaia Gillman-Harris on December 27 at the Ascot Epsom Motel disconnected his electronic bracelet last night.
Police say he was assisted by an associate to leave his Avondale bail address.
Auckland City Police have been making inquiries as to his whereabouts since being notified by the security company that monitors electronic bailees that he absconded shortly before 11pm last night.
Police have notified the family of 54 year-old Ihaia Gillman-Harris, the man Wallace-Loretz is accused of murdering.
Police are appealing for any information about Wallace-Loretz who is described as a thin Maori, about 164cm tall.

Wallace-Loretz is considered dangerous and should not be approached by members of the public.
Police say that any associates who may be continuing to assist Beauen Wallace-Loretz are strongly advised to think again as they too will face criminal charges if they harbour the accused.
