The cold weather is here and with it comes Winter Showtime, an exciting collection of events and activities in the centre of Auckland's CBD.
Aotea Square Ice Rink opens on Friday 28 June.
Paradice Ice Skating General Manager Chris Blong says he is looking forward to building on the success of last year's ice rink.
"The rink is fully covered so that people can skate in any weather, and this year it will be bigger and better. We are working on a programme of themed events and weekends to entertain all ages."
Other events on the schedule include Slava's Snowshow at the ASB Theatre from 10-14 July, Hairy Maclary and Friends from 16-17 July, a workshop with Request Dance Crew 17-19 July and STOMP '13 6-11 August.
Head of Programming at THE EDGE Melanie Smith says that Winter Showtime focuses on providing high quality entertainment options for families in the cooler months.
"We delighted to be able to offer families a range of things to do in the city, from our free Pick & Mix programme on Saturday mornings to great international shows and the return of the extremely popular Aotea Square Ice Rink."
