Living Room 2012 lights up Aotea Square

Aotea Square and surrounds will come alive with fresh, quirky, fun and interactive acts every lunchtime and evening for Living Room 2012.

Assembled by award-winning choreographer MaryJane O'Reilly, Living Room 2012 offers fresh twists on everything, from BMX to kapa haka, hip hop, go go dancers and more.

Encounter UK-based Susanne Thomas' Boxed in a window of Smith and Caughey's department store. See BMX riders peforming a wheeled ballet to opera and Pacific Island drumbeat or catch Sacha Copland's Back of the Bus, an unforgettable bus tour around Auckland.

Living Room also features a collaborative work by hip-hop artist Soufiane Karim and Auckland-based video artist Clint Watkins entitled Morph, Josh Rutter's Dance like a Butterfly Dream Boy and IQ2 by Future Hotel.
