The first thing juggler Paul Klaassen says when we meet him is "Welcome to our office".
It's no regular office, but this is no regular job.
Paul is one half of the juggling duo the Blingling Bros. Their "office" is a gymnasium in Ponsonby. His offsider is Mark Williams, who isn't really his "bro" but the name has a performance ring to it.
The pair have known each other since 1998 and did some shows together before they became the Blingling Bros in 2007.
"We're juggling comedians. That's our career," Paul says.
It's a career built on banter and balance - the pair are the New Zealand balancing champions.
He explains their craziest act, which involves him standing on Mark and juggling with fire. "That's 'double danger', best that nothing should go wrong," says Mark, laughing.
The pair will be on the streets during the International Buskers Festival which runs from January 27-30, Anniversary weekend.
"Our goal is to reach everyone watching our show, from the littlest kid to the oldest adult," says Paul.
"We're kind of known for that. It's really exciting when very old people come to us after a show and tell us they found it awesome," says Mark.
The pair are excited about performing in the festival for the first time. "It is special, because it's our hometown," says Paul.
"I'm most excited about Auckland's streets," says Mark. "It's good to be the local act.
"Of course, the international acts are all very exciting, but the people are most connected to what they have from home."
