Area Description:

Manukau and Waitemata Harbours, Hauraki Gulf and Bream Head to Cape Colville.

Situation:

A ridge covers most of New Zealand. A front weakens and moves north across the lower South Island today, and away to the east this evening. The ridge moves northeast on Thursday allowing westerlies and fronts to again affect the lower South Island. A northeast flow develops over the North Island from Friday.

For the Manukau Harbour: Tuesday: Variable 5 knots. Westerly 10 knots developing late morning, tending southwest 10 knots this evening. Sea slight. Cloudy, with fair visibility in isolated showers. Fine spells increasing in the afternoon. For the Waitemata Harbour, the Hauraki Gulf, and the area from Bream Head to Cape Colville: Tuesday: Westerly 10 knots, tending northwest 10 knots late morning. Becoming southwest 15 knots late afternoon, and easing to 10 knots this evening. Sea slight. Cloudy, with fair visibility in isolated showers. Fine spells increasing in the afternoon.
