Manukau and Waitemata Harbours, Hauraki Gulf and Bream Head to Cape Colville.

Situation:

Cyclone Gita will track east across central New Zealand this morning, then move slowly away to the east during the course of the day. Another low forms west of the South Island today,then weakens as it moves over the North Island on Thursday,followed by a ridge of high pressure moving over the country.

For Manukau and Waitemata Harbours: Wednesday: Northwest 15 knots. Sea slight. Cloudy periods and the odd shower. For the Hauraki Gulf and the area from Bream Head to Cape Colville: Wednesday: Northwest 20 knots easing to 15 knots in the morning, then rising to 20 knots again for a time in the afternoon. Sea moderate at times. Cloudy periods and the odd shower.

Outlook until midnight Sunday: Thursday: Northwest 20 knots, changing southwest 15 knots in the evening. A few showers. Friday: Southwest 15 knots. Partly cloudy. Saturday: Southwest 15 knots easing to 10 knots for a time in the morning, dying out in the evening. Partly cloudy.
