Yet another big Lotto Powerball winner was found last night - with one lucky person taking home $8.5 million.
The ticket, made up of $500,000 from Lotto First Division and $8m from Powerball First Division, was sold at Whitcoulls New Lynn in Auckland.
It was the seventh multi-millionaire winner this year.
"What a way to celebrate our 25th birthday by creating yet another winner," said NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive Wayne Pickup.
Next weekend an extra $7.5m in prizes will be given away for Lotto's birthday.
