A decision should be made today on when a public parade to welcome home the victorious All Blacks will be held.
The team are expected to return on Wednesday and the public will be keen to see their heroes close up and in person.
A spokesman for Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development said they were waiting to hear from New Zealand Rugby before finalising plans for a parade.
Auckland Mayor Len Brown told TVNZ's Q&A programme yesterday he was looking forward to New Zealand Rugby "giving clear instructions" and the Auckland celebrations were likely to be held on Wednesday.
"It will be outstanding."
A spokesman for Christchurch City Council was unable to say if the city would stage of victory parade.
Wellington City Council spokesman Richard MacLean said if the capital was involved, an event would be organised right away. It was up to New Zealand Rugby.
