The All Blacks are midway through their season after notching up a seventh win of 2014 on Saturday - so who has earned the most valuable player label so far this season?
According to the Herald player ratings, produced by Chris Rattue after every test - Brodie Retallick has been the top performer closely followed by Richie McCaw, Julian Savea, Kieran Read and Jerome Kaino.
Retallick leads the way with an average rating of 7.3 from seven starts. The Chiefs lock scored a nine rating in the 51-20 win over Australia - one of only four players to score a nine this season.
McCaw rated a nine in the weekend and averages 7 in seven starts. His vice-captain Kieran Read also rated a nine against the Springboks and like his skipper averages 7 for the season from five starts.

Cory Jane is the only other player to rate a nine - in the third test against England - but has also had two fours and a five to average 5.2 over five starts and one match from the bench.
The top scoring back is Savea with an average rating of 7 - helped by six tries in six tests. Aaron Smith is close behind (6.9) followed by Ben Smith (6.7).
Kaino averaged 7 before suffering an elbow injury at Eden Park, while Sam Whitelock average 6.8 before his rib injury against the Pumas in Napier.
The worst performing starters are Ma'a Nonu, whose highest rating was a seven against England in Dunedin and Jane.
Beauden Barrett has been the most inconsistent with an eight and two from the bench along with two sevens after starting in the 10 jersey.
Dane Coles has been one of the most consistent All Blacks this season - averaging 6.9.
Keven Mealamu has failed to make an impact from the bench - averaging 4.4 in seven appearances.
